What does your company do?

Frönen, German for “indulge,” is a non-dairy nice cream made with only 5 ingredients or fewer. Inside every pint, fruit, coconut cream and a touch of honey create a rich, creamy base for a guilt-free indulgence.

Tell us about your company’s journey.

When Jessy was thirteen, she was diagnosed with celiac disease and dairy sensitivity. Alternatives packed with refined sugar, gums, “natural” flavors, and artificial ingredients left her feeling sick. Lighter options diluted with water lacked flavor and contained sugar alcohols that upset her stomach even more. By the time Jessy was in college, she was losing hope with dairy-free desserts. Determined to not let food allergies restrict one of life’s greatest joys, she and Erik decided to raise their spoons and experiment in the kitchen. We perfected Frönen – an irresistible dessert that’s filled with flavor and light on guilt. We shared our treat with college friends who loved it. With Frönen, you don’t have to compromise between taste and health. So, dig in and indulge!

What has been your company’s greatest success?

Launching into major retailers across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic region including Whole Foods, Mariano’s, Wegmans, and many others!

What are your company’s goals for 2020?

Our goal is to launch into additional retailers and to begin expanding to the West Coast. We have two new delicious flavors, Peanut Butter and Mint Chip. We are working on launching those into stores!
